The most interesting London festivals of 2014
Is there no better way to while away one’s free moments; minutes so furiously wrenched away from the boring rigmarole of everyday life; than putting on pairs of shades and shorts and heading on down to a summer festival. Baking sun, guitar twangs percolating through the breeze, and a frosty pint of lager; we wouldn’t […]

Listen: The Horrors – ‘I See You’
When I was at Glastonbury last year, the choice between Friday night headliners fell between Arctic Monkeys, Nile Rodgers & Chic and The Horrors. While the vast majority of the Glastonbury crowd opted to either witness Alex Turner’s emergence as a bona fide rock star on the Pyramid Stage, or Nile Rodgers’ canonization as the saint of ‘good times’, me and about 100 other hardy souls decided to watch The Horrors on the very outskirts of the festival (The Park Stage).
My reasoning for this was pretty simple: The Horrors are the best UK band currently at work. I went as far as making their third album Skying my album of 2011. So anticipation for what they’ve cooked up for their fourth album is pretty high. Read more about Listen: The Horrors – ‘I See You’ …

My Glastonbury 2013 review…
Glastonbury is commonly regarded as the world’s biggest and best festival for lots of reasons, but the one reason that stands out for me is the freedom it offers festival-goers to enjoy the weekend however they choose to. Other festivals pack you into designated areas and have a limited amount of stages and options. At […]
