Factory Floor to release long-awaited debut album in September

Highly-rated experimental electro trio Factory Floor have kept everyone waiting for their debut album for a good seven years, releasing a smattering of stunning singles and EP’s along the way. The last of these, ‘Fall Back‘, was their first on legendary label DFA – and was rumoured to be the first track from their debut album. But typically, what followed was silence – but that has now been broken with the news that they are indeed ready to finally release their self titled debut album on 9 September.

Speaking to Resident Advisor about the recording of the album Nik Colk Void said:

It took a while, well a long time, almost two years. The main reason for this is we decided to keep developing live in tandem with recording. Also committing time to our ICA residency. Collaborating with established artists fed more inspiration. Yes the tracks were specifically made for the album, we consciously wanted to make a record that offered an alternative side to our live shows. We chose to discipline the tracks and emulate our own staple sound
