Muse War Child gig

Muse to headline War Child BRIT Awards concert on 18 Feb

Muse have been announced as the headliners for this years War Child BRIT Awards concert, which will take place at London’s 02 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 18 February – two days before the BRIT Awards ceremony.

The benefit gig marks the start of War Child’s 20th Anniversary Year, and comes ahead of  them receiving the Special Recognition BRIT Award. This is the fifth year of War Child’s BRIT Awards concert, having previously featured artists like Coldplay, The Killers, Blur and Kasabian.

But this year it’s Muse’s turn, who have two BRIT Award nomination in the bag (for British Group and British Live Act). Speaking of the War Child gig, Muse front-man Matt Bellamy said:

We are proud to have a continuing association with War Child, who have been doing amazing work over the last 20 years. It’s great to see their efforts being recognised at this year’s BRITs and we are really looking forward to playing this special show for them.

Tickets for the show will cost £50, with all proceeds going directly to War Child. They go on O2 presale tomorrow (30 Jan) at 9am, and on general sale on Friday (1 Feb) at 9am. For more information on anything head over to the War Child site: www.warchild.org.uk
