Brit Awards 2013 nominations announced

The nominations for this years Brit Awards have been announced this evening, with Emeli Sande leading the way with four nominations.

The singer has been nominated in the British Female, British Single (twice) and British Album. Hot on her heels are Mercury Prize winning band Alt-J and Mumford & Sons – who are both up for three nominations. There’s not many surprises in the nominations, although it’s good to see Jake Bugg get a nod in the British Breakthrough Act category. The awards ceremony will take place on 20 February and will once again be hosted by James Corden.
