Leicester rock favourites Kasabian are reportedly set to be announced as a headliner for this years Glastonbury festival, as bookies William Hill have suspended betting on it.
The rumours about Kasabian headlining go back to a while, but today is the first ‘concrete’ suggestion that they are definitely playing the Worthy Farm festival in June.
Speaking to NME earlier today, William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said:
It seems that all Kasabian need to do is sign on the dotted line and they will be playing one of the most iconic sets in the world.
In other Glastonbury-related news, there’s been a raft of new line-up additions over the past few days. Warpaint confirmed they are playing, then Emily Eavis announced last night that Disclosure are playing a ‘big slot’ and today both Blondie and Dolly Parton have been confirmed.
Arcade Fire are still the only headliner to be officially confirmed, but with all the news leaking out we can’t be too far away from the full line-up being announced. My money is on Kasabian and Prince joining the Canadian band as Pyramid Stage headliners.
