Seminal shoegazers My Bloody Valentine have announced a short burst of live dates in the UK next March. The group will play:
March
09 – Glasgow, Barrowlands
10 – Manchester, Apollo
12 – London, Hammersmith Apollo
Tickets for the gigs are available from lots of different places, all of which are listed on the band’s Facebook page.
As previously reported, My Bloody Valentine are expected to release new material sometime soon – their first since their legendary 1991 album Loveless. Kevin Shields went as far as to say the new album will be out before the end of 2012 – so they better get on with it!

My Bloody Valentine have announced an extra London date to their run of shows in March. They will now be playing the Hammersmith Apollo on the 12 and 13 March.
Also, bass player Debbie Googe has lifted the lid on their highly anticipated new material – which Kevin Shields had previously suggested could be out in 2012. Googe told Drowned In Sound:
(the album) will definitely come out as it’s pretty much finished. I mean, it’s impossible to talk about time with Kevin, but in terms of percentage-wise, he’s got one more track he wants to do then that’s it. Everything else is recorded.
