Everyday Robots is Damon Albarn’s first solo album, and is due out on 29 April. It was recorded with XL Records boss Richard Russell on production duties, and according to Damon it was all the producers idea. Talking during his radio appearance on Saturday he said:
“The reason why I did [the album] – me and Richard decided to continue our partnership. First we thought we’d start a new band; we started coming up with stupid names. Then one day he came in and said ‘What I’d like to do is produce you.’ So it’s his fault.”
