Reading and Leeds Festival 2014 will have FOUR headliners – rumours abound!

***UPDATE! Monday 10 March – The full line-up has now been announced with Queens Of The Stone Age and Paramore confirmed as headliners. See the updated article here. ***

Reading and Leeds Festival organiser Melvin Benn told NME earlier today that the line-up to this year’s festival is “unlike anything we’ve done before”.

In full, he said:

“I think it will surprise a lot of people. As ever for us, the line-up’s a mix of where popular and alternative music has been, where it is now and where it’s going next, across a real spread of genres. There’s unquestionably a rock tradition at Reading and Leeds but equally so there’s unquestionably a dance tradition at the festival and plenty of other sorts of sounds and audiences. So we try to reflect that. It’s a really strong lineup this year. We’re absolutely delighted with it.”

That naturally got a lot of people chatting, and just now festival organisers have released the below image across social media:

Prince is definitely not playing Glastonbury, says Emily Eavis

And so the Glastonbury rumour mill rolls on!

Prince has been heavily linked with a headline slot at this years Worthy Farm festival, what with his numerous shows in London and Manchester recently, but that has all been shot down by organiser Emily Eavis today in an interview with 6Music. Speaking to the radio station about whether they had booked Prince, Eavis said:

“He’s someone that will be amazing one day, he’s somebody that we haven’t had, and we would love to have him at Glastonbury. But no, no we haven’t.”

The Killers and Justin Timberlake are headlining V Festival 2014

The line-up for V Festival 2014 has just been announced, and it’s an American lock-out with Justin Timberlake and Las Vegas band The Killers headlining the two-day event.

Supporting them on the bill are the likes of Lily Allen, Manic Street Preachers, Ed Sheeran, Elbow, Bastille, Rudimental, Blondie, Katy B, Janelle Monae, Miles Kane as well as the special guests Chic feat. Nile Rodgers.
