It may be a short month, but February still managed to produce some awesome new music! My February playlist features Bloc Party singer Kele Okereke’s brilliant remix of MS MR’s ‘Fantasy’, AlunaGeorge’s ‘Attracting Flies’, Yeah Yeah Yeahs new single ‘Sacrilege’ and loads more. Much like the (in)famous video for Radiohead track ‘Lotus Flower’, Thom Yorke gets his dancing shoes on in the video for ‘Ingenue’ – the first Atoms For Peace track to have the high honour of a promo video. In the video Yorke has a mirror image dancing partner played by Fukiko Takase. Check it out: Read…
A new month brings a new batch of album releases, and March 2014 is obviously no different. Here’s my pick of the top albums out this month:
Two new tracks from the Klaxons, a new one from Gruff Rhys, the return of both Howling Bells and Little Dragon, killer remixes from Four Tet, Kanye West, Mssing No and brand new tracks from exciting up-and-comers like JUNGLE, Circa Waves, Hockeysmith and more. Rumours about his identity have ranged from Four Tet, Skrillex, Banksy and even Al Gore (for some reason!) in recent memory – but no…
If January felt a bit slow in terms of big new albums, then February is when 2014 really gets going. There’s big albums out just about every week in February, starting off with the return of Bombay Bicycle Club and Broken Bells on 3 February. The following week sees dubstep-diva Katy B take centre-stage with…
Belleruche aren’t strictly ‘New Music’, seeing as they’ve been making albums and playing gigs for about five years, but this is probably the first time many of you will have heard them. Now onto their fourth album, called Rollerchain (out in May), ‘Stormbird’ is a fantastic showcase of Belleruche’s unique sound – forged using equal…
