Less than six months after the release of their second album Wish To Scream, Camden band Tribes have announced they have split up.
It all looked so good for Tribes, who released their debut album Baby in 2012 to promising reviews – earning the NME Award for Best New Band in that year and being hailed by some as the ‘saviours of British guitar music’.
Fortunes turn quickly in today’s brutally fickle music industry though, and their second album failed to reach the UK Top 40 on its release in May.
Tribes announced their split with a series of Tweets this morning, saying:
We are sad to announce that we will no longer be writing and performing together as Tribes.
