Details are still a bit scarce, but word is Arcade Fire are planning to release some new music on 9 September.
Revolt TV – a new music and video site backed by P Diddy – revealed the news, quoting ‘sources close to beloved Canadian indie rock gods Arcade Fire’.
The band have been busy working on new material for the follow-up to The Suburbs, and have been working with LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy – who said recently:
The album is going great. I’m too in the middle of it to know which way it will go in the end. But it’s going to be a fantastic record.
It’s likely that 9 September will see Arcade Fire announce the new album and release a track stream/download – but time will tell I guess.
