Elbow’s new album will be called ‘The Take Off And Landing Of Everything’

Elbow have finally decided on a name for their new album – which will now definitely be called The Take Off And Landing Of Everything.

The band originally suggested the new album, which will be their sixth, would be titled Carry Her, Carry Me, but have now changed their minds.

In a recent interview with Q, Elbow frontman Guy Garvey explained the album title, saying:

The title’s now from a song on there; this huge, cacophonous thing born of our love for space rock, prog, Primal Scream and Spiritualized… It’s to do with the fact that there have been lots of life events… There are five members of the band, people have split up, go together, had children, it never stops.

The Take Off And Landing Of Everything is set for release on 3 March, and Elbow have a host of UK tour dates in support of it scheduled for April:

05 – Birmingham LG Arena
06 – Glasgow The Hydro
08 – Cardiff Motorpoint Arena
09 – Manchester Phones 4 U Arena
11 – Leeds First Direct Arena
12 – Liverpool Echo Arena
14 – Nottingham Capital FM Arena
16 – London The O2
