Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will release ‘Everybody’s On The Run’ as the next single from their/his self titled debut solo album. The single follows previous releases ‘The Death Of You And Me’, ‘If I Had A Gun’, ‘AKA… What A Life’, and ‘Dream On’, and will feature a remix of ‘AKA… What A Life’…
While there’s quite a bit of exciting new music happening at the minute, not much of it is coming from good old fashioned UK guitar acts. Save for reliable old hands like Richard Hawley and seasoned campaigners like The Maccabees, guitar music is in a bit of a lull and in desperate need of young…
Manchester-based, Berlin-born producer Holy Other has announced he will be releasing his debut album Held on 27 August through Tri Angle Records. The album follows on from his highly acclaimed debut EP With U, which he released last year, and if lead single ‘Love Some1’ is anything to go by, will feature a lot of…
Seriously starting to like these secretive Mancunians. You may remember I featured their single ‘Heartbreaker’ not long ago. Back then I didn’t know much about NO CEREMONY/// (the capitals and slashes seem to be mandatory!), except they made brilliantly unsettling and darkly melodic electro stuff. I still don’t know much about them – they don’t…

What is it with ‘new album trailers’ all of a sudden? Before the dust has settled on Muse’s new trailer, The Killers have released the above ‘promo’ for their forthcoming new album Battleborn. The Killers have gone for subtle, atmospheric synths for their trailer – sounding a bit Blade Runner-esque to me – and also…
Following on from releasing the above trailer for their new album The 2nd Law yesterday, Muse have revealed dates for a UK & European arena tour this autumn. Tickets for the tour go on general sale next Thursday (14 June) at 9am, although a small amount of standing tickets will be made available to fan club…
One of my favourite new bands The Darlingtons have released the video for their forthcoming new single ‘Everything’. Released on 11 June, ‘Everything’ is the second single from their debut album Decades Dance – following on from the albums brilliant lead single ‘Bats’. Check out the video:
With their new album Worship out in a matter of weeks, A Place To Bury Strangers have today released the latest track from it. Listen to ‘And I’m Up’ here: Unlike the previous songs to be lifted from Worship, You Are The One and So Far Away, ‘And I’m Up’ trades the blistering sonics and…
