Laim Gallagher’s post-Oasis band Beady Eye have announced they are back in the studio working on the follow-up to debut album Different Gear, Still Speeding – which will be produced by TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek.
Sitek, who has previously worked with the likes of Foals and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, seems a surprisingly creative and different choice for a producer – but if it helps Beady Eye shift the ‘Dad-rock’ tag and make something a little bit different, then I won’t be complaining.
The band revealed the news via a brief message on their Facebook page, saying:
There’s a new record on the way! Back in the studio as of today with producer Dave Sitek. Watch this space for more info…
So er, watch this space I guess.
