It has been on the grapevine for a few weeks, but now Canadian rockers Arcade Fire have confirmed they will play a huge show at London’s Hyde Park this summer.
The show is scheduled for 30 June, and so far Mumford and Sons, Beirut and hotly-tipped band The Vaccines have been announced as support acts. The show will be Arcade Fire’s biggest UK headline show to date – and is already fuelling more rumours suggesting the band will also headline this years Glastonbury festival, which takes place over the weekend of 25-27 June.
Ticket details for the Hyde Park show have not yet been announced officially, but they are expected to go on sale at 9am on 28 January.
