This fourth effort from Sheffield’s indie darlings was somewhat overlooked this year, despite it being right up there as one of their most consistent and interesting albums to date. Perhaps it’s because they’ve been around so long and delivered great albums so consistently that a new, great Arctic Monkeys album has now just become an…
You’d be hard pushed to find a better song from the past few years than Tame Impala’s Lonerism stand-out ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards‘. It’s so good that everyone from Say Lou Lou to Kendrick Lamar have had a pop at covering it recently. They’ve now been joined by Arctic Monkeys, who recorded an…
Arctic Monkeys have today been announced as the latest headliner on this years Reading and Leeds Festival line-up. The Sheffield band will join the previously announced Blink 182 at the top of the bill for this years festival, and are joined by fellow new announcements Warpaint, The 1972, The Courteeners, You Me At Six, Pusha…

Arctic Monkeys look like they’re planning on taking over the summer again in 2014. The Sheffield band seemed to dominate the music scene this year, thanks mainly to their ‘coming-of-age’ set at Glastonbury, and have today been confirmed as headliner for their third 2014 festival. As well as headlining next years T In The Park…
My round up of the new singles available for digital download this week. Amber Run – ‘Heaven’ Avicii meets Mumford and Sons meets Autotune in this cross pollination of genres. A slow burner, taking half of its running time to even touch on its chorus, fans of Coldplay and similar indie bands will seek refuge…
If any band can stake a claim for having a stellar year, it’s Arctic Monkeys. They stole the show at Glastonbury and released an album that is featuring towards the top of most peoples ‘albums of the year’ lists. The Sheffield band are planning on rounding off the year with the release of AM track…
