Brooklyn-based duo MS MR’s latest release ‘Fantasy’ screams electro pop. The track comprises of fascinating electronics underneath incredible vocals that are both powerful and beautiful at the same time.
‘Fantasy’ creates an overwhelming sense of freedom and elation, with its well-rounded vocals, hammering drums, catchy hooks and murky lyrics – and not to mention the captivating hand clapping! The duo use a chiming glockenspiel combined with heavy- somewhat tribal – drums and delicate piano chimes to deliver us a blast of blissful electro pop.
MS MR have been dubbed ‘Best New Music’ by Pitchfork, ‘Hottest Record’ by Zane Lowe and ‘Potential Superstars’ by The Guardian, and with achieving a Number 1 on Hype Machine, the New York City duo definitely have some ‘in-the-know’ supporters under their belt. With a track about daydreaming, a cryptic of the music industry, MS MR are a dexterous duo with raw talent, blissful chimes and front woman Lizzy Plapinger’s unbeatable vocals – all beautifully combined by the expertise of producer, Max Hershenow.
‘Fantasy’ is taken from MS MR’s forthcoming debut album Second Hand Rapture – released May 14th. ‘Fantasy’ is out on March 10th.
