Kasabian have revealed they plan to incorporate a fully interactive stage show into their forthcoming UK arena tour. The giant orange stage will glow brighter or dimmer depending on the levels of noise from the crowd during the show.
Speaking of the plans in his usual understated manner, singer Tom Meighan told the Daily Star:
“Serge and Aitor Throup, who did our album artwork, and a guy called Nick who’s a f***ing genius at lighting, came up with it. It’s going to look great. The idea the stage will react to fans will be cool. It’s never been done.”
Tom also talked about Kasabian’s desire to get back into the swing of touring after recording new album Velociraptor!:
“We want to get in the stride of playing live again. Making the album was easy. Now it’s two years of touring. I try not to think too far ahead, I try to think of things on a weekly or daily basis. Otherwise I just go: ‘Wooah.’ ”
