Arctic Monkeys have today been announced as the latest headliner on this years Reading and Leeds Festival line-up.
The Sheffield band will join the previously announced Blink 182 at the top of the bill for this years festival, and are joined by fellow new announcements Warpaint, The 1972, The Courteeners, You Me At Six, Pusha T and Royal Blood amongst others.
Speaking about their inclusion on the bill, Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders said:
We’ve got a lot of history with the festival. It’s the first festival I ever went to – we all went together as kids, with Nick as well. We were 15 or 16 and it was a big deal going to a festival like that on your own.
With last years announcement of Blink 182, Jake Bugg, Disclosure and others Reading and Leeds is shaping up to be a pretty festival this year. Below is the current line-up poster – more announcements are expected soon.
