Recently returned pop star Lily Allen confirmed today that she will be playing next year’s Glastonbury festival.
Allen revealed the news on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 show this morning, saying:“It got confirmed yesterday. That’s the first big thing I’m going to be doing. I’ll be doing 16 weeks of festivals over the summer and then tour”.
The fact that Allen is playing Glasto is not that much of a surprise seeing as she’s played before and her dad is a bit of a backstage regular. What is interesting is the ‘it got confirmed yesterday’ bit of the quote, which suggests the line-up for Glastonbury 2014 might be falling into place behind the scenes as we speak. Here’s hoping for a big announcement sometime soon!
