The xx have today announced their second album will be released on 10 September. The follow-up to their break out 2009 debut album will be called Coexist, and was once again produced by the bands Jamie Smith in their London studio.
The xx, who you can see above performing debut album track ‘Crystalised’, released a statement today regarding Coexist, saying:
“We’re so excited to share with you the news that our second record ‘Coexist’ will be released on September 10th. After a long time on the road, we took a break, created our own studio and wrote these new songs that we’re so looking forward to playing to you. We will be touring throughout the summer and beyond, and hope to play somewhere near you soon. xx The xx.”
There’s not much more information on Coexist just yet, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for more news on it so be sure to keep checking back.
