The Killers new album to be called ‘Battle Born’

Las Vegas band The Killers (above is their song from the recent Dark Shadows film soundtrack) have revealed their upcoming fourth studio album will be called Battle Born. The album, the follow-up to their 2008 release Day & Age, is named after their recording studio – with Battle Born also being the nickname of their home state of Nevada.

In an interview with US rock magazine Rolling Stone, The Killers singer Brandon Flowers explained the choice of album title:

“In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better.”

Battle Born does not have an official release date yet, but is slated for a late summer / early autumn release.
