Fall Out Boy are doing something strange with their music videos, making them weirder with time. The same is the story of their new video for track “Irresistible” which was premiered this week. The single “Irresistible” is from their new album “American Beauty/American Psycho”. The video for this track was released on VEVO.
This four-minute music video for “Irresistible” is directed by SCANTRON and Mel Soria. The video looks like a VHS recording, thanks to some crafty editing from the team. It features all the boys from Fall Out Boy wearing sports dress, which really lacks any fashion sense and looks terrible and not ‘irresistible’ as it should probably look. They go into a basketball game with neighborhood bullies who play professional basketball and therefore Fall Out Boy team doesn’t stand a chance against them.
The video shows both teams playing basketball in a rather horrid way. There is no way one can win a basketball game playing like that against professional players. Pete Wentz gave his best while playing the game, trying his level best to make some game out of this joke of a game but he can’t do much as he lacks any basketball skills and the other team is a pro. Actually all he was trying to do was to impress the girl in red watching the game. She didn’t like the show that Pete put up. The heartbreaking part though was that she turned out to be girlfriend of one of the bullies.
