Muse have released the above trailer for their new album – the follow up to 2009’s The Resistance. The new album will be out in September and appears to be titled The 2nd Law – which judging by what the newsreader says in the trailer probably relates to the 2nd law of thermodynamics (I love how Muse like to keep things simple!)
Muse front-man Matt Bellamy took to Twitter to further explain the theme of the album – which seems to be a mix of their usual sci-fi schtick with a little bit of topical global financial meltdown thrown in for good measure:

So that’s that all cleared up then!
Interestingly, the trailer for The 2nd Law hints at what could be a bit of a dubstep diversion for Muse – which sounds very promising, although fan reaction online has been split about it so far. What do you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
