The increasingly impressive promotional campaign for new David Bowie album The Next Day stepped up another gear today, with the release of new single ‘The Stars (Are Out Tonight)’ – which is available to buy now.
The single is a more upbeat affair than the elegiac ‘Where Are We Now?’ – but shares the same nostalgic tone. Looking back and taking stock of life seems to be a very prominent theme for The Next Day, as the below video for ‘The Stars (Are Out Tonight)’ shows Bowie and actress Tilda Swinton as a content older couple who are harassed by their past – in the shape of musicians who bear an uncanny resemblance to Bowie’s many iterations throughout his career.
