The Stone Roses sign record deals ahead of next years reunion

Newly reformed baggy legends The Stone Roses have announced today that they have signed new record deals – confirming next years reunion will include the band releasing their first new material since their fateful second album The Second Coming in 1994.

The band announced the news today across social media, saying on Twitter:

“We are pleased to announce that we’ve signed a record contract with Universal Music in London and with Columbia Records in New York.”

Although their press conference earlier this year suggested they would be making new music together, today’s announcement is the first confirmation of new Stone Roses – although it is still unclear what the exact details of their record deals are.
