Kasabian

Are Kasabian headlining Glastonbury?

There’s been some strong rumours in the last few days that Kasabian are set to headline the Sunday night of this years Glastonbury.

The Leicester band are gearing up for the release of their new album this summer, and have arranged a huge homecoming show in Leicester’s Victoria Park on 21 June.

As well as the Leicester show, the band have confirmed appearances at the Ejekt Festival in Greece on 25 June and Le Rock Dans Tout See Etats in France on 27 June – so their itinerary has a nice Glastonbury-shaped hole in it (which runs from 25 June to 29 June).

The Daily Star were the first to break the ‘news’ after getting the low-down from one of their nameless but reliable ‘sources’.

The source also confirms Dolly Parton’s inclusion in the ‘legends’ spot on Sunday afternoon.

With Arcade Fire already confirmed for the Friday night, if this rumour is to be believed then there’s just one more headline slot to fill. Currently the smart money has to be on OutKast, who have reformed for this years Coachella and have announced they will be playing as many festivals as possible this summer.

Other rumours include Prince, Daft Punk, David Bowie and, perhaps less likely, a reunited Oasis.
