The dream duo of Brian ‘Danger Mouse’ Burton and James ‘The Shins’ Mercer aka Broken Bells have today announced they will release their second album in January 2013.
The duo got together in 2010 and released a pretty brilliant self-titled album, but then went back to their many other projects – Danger Mouse has been working with the likes of The White Stripes and The Black Keys and Mercer’s band The Shins have released another album and been touring the world.
They’ve decided to rekindle their creative partnership though, and will release second album After The Disco in January. They announced the news with a curious Tweet that suggested they may have a few surprises in store:

No new music from the duo has been released yet, so for now you’ll just have to make do with the album trailer:
