Arcade Fire

Arcade Fire debut three new songs in special ‘Here Comes The Night Time’ show – video

With their new album now only a matter of weeks away, Arcade Fire have started to ramp up the buzz in their own idiosyncratic way.

For a band who announced their album via graffiti and released a fully interactive video for lead single ‘Reflektor’, a simple appearance on Saturday Night Live obviously wasn’t enough. So immediately after their appearance on SNL they aired a 30-min celeb-packed special called ‘Here Comes The Night Time’.

During the special show, which was shot in a Montreal disco and featured the band in some crazy costumes, Arcade Fire performed three new tracks from the album: ‘Here Comes The Night Time’, ‘We Exist’ and ‘Normal Person’. In amongst the performance of the songs there were also a lot of celebrity cameos, including James Franco, Ben Stiller, Bono, Michael Cera, Bill Hader and Zack Galifianakis.

It’s quite a strange watch, but it gets 10 out of 10 for creativity. Watch the full show it:

Reflektor is out on 29 October. Preorder it here: Reflektor
