Bursting out of Manchester sounding like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club covering The Killers, we predict big things for the gloriously names The Slow Readers Club in 2012. Their self-titled debut album is due out this summer, but for now here’s their brilliant new single ‘Feet On Fire’ for your delectation:
Caught somewhere between joyful youthful abandon and world-weary introspection, ‘Feet On Fire’ is full of the tension and yearning you’d expect from a hungry and eager young band. The B-side, ‘She Wears A Frown’ relies less on throbbing electro and hangs more on Aaron Starkie’s vocal line.
Both are great songs and bode well for an exciting debut album later this year. Check out the cool Lego video for ‘Feet On Fire’ here:
