As you’re probably aware, US pop legend Prince is currently in the middle of a string of gigs in London – but according to The Mirror, that’s not all he’s been up too while in the capital.
The tabloid has been speaking to ‘sources’ who claim that Prince has signed up to headline Glastonbury while he’s been in London, with festival organiser Michael Eavis personally meeting the star to thrash out a deal. Here’s what the ‘source’ said about the meeting:
They met in London and a deal was struck. The reaction towards Prince during his time in the capital has been immense and it cemented his desire to play at Glastonbury. He is determined to raise the bar and give a set to remember. There will be a few surprises in store.
The rumours are that Prince has signed up to play the Pyramid Stage on Sunday night – which apparently now just leaves one headline slot free as Arcade Fire have already confirmed themselves to be playing the Worthy Farm festival.
Some of the more likely acts rumoured to be filling that spot are Kasabian, Daft Punk, a recently reformed Outkast and Metallica.
