Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys’ electro-pop side project Neon Neon have announced their second album will be called Praxis Makes Perfect and will be released on 29 April.
Like their 2008 debut Stainless Steel, which was about the life of car designer John DeLorean, Praxis Makes Perfect is a concept album based on the life of Italian activist Giangiacomo Feltrinelli. Here’s what they said about their new subject in a statement released today:
Born in to one of Italy’s wealthiest families, Feltrinelli was a left-wing political activist and published some of the greatest literary works of the 20th century, including The Leopard and Doctor Zhivago. He died in highly suspicious circumstances in 1972.
As well as Gruff Rhys, and Neon Neon producer Boom Bip, Praxis Makes Perfect also features Sabrina Salerno, Asia Argento, Cate Le Bon and Josh Klinghoffer.
