Teenage Cancer Trust gigs line-up announced…

The Noel Gallagher-curated line-up for the 2013 series of Teenage Cancer Trust gigs has been announced today – with a few surprises mixed in with some more obvious acts.

The most surprising inclusion on the line-up is Noel’s former Blur ‘enemies’ Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon, who will be playing on the same night as the former Oasis man. Amongst the more obvious acts are Noel’s comedy mates Russell Brand and Noel Fielding as well as Leicester rockers Kasabian and Primal Scream. Beth Orton, Ryan Adams, Rizzle Kicks and Labrinth complete the fairly eclectic line-up.

All the shows will take place in March at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and all proceeds will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust. Speaking at the press conference today to announce the line-up, Noel Gallagher had this to say about his ongoing involvement with the charity:

Teenage Cancer Trust do a brilliant job, and I’ve always been more than pleased to lend my support over the years. It’s also now a charity that is very close to the hearts and minds of dozens of acts in the world of music. It’s an honour to have the task of putting together the bills for next year’s series of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall.

Tickets for all the shows go on sale this Friday (7 December) at 9.30am. Here’s the full line-up:
