Arctic Monkeys paid tribute to the late and great Lou Reed last night during their show at Liverpool’s Echo Arena – playing his signature solo track ‘Walk On The Wild Side’, taken from his 1972 solo album Transformer.
Former Velvet Underground front-man Reed passed away over the weekend and has been the subject of tributes from stars including John Cale, David Bowie, Neil Young, The Who. Even the Vatican have taken the time to pay homage to the star.
Arctic Monkeys’ tribute came as the first song in the encore during their gig in Liverpool, watch a fan-shot video of it below:
