“Sober” by Childish Gambino is one of the best things I’ve heard so far this new week. Many music bloggers have already talked about Childish Gambino and his new track over the weekend following the late night release. I’m sure everyone will be excited to discover this new gem from Childish Gambino.
“Sober” is going to be part of double-sided mixtape. Bino is still to announce a release date for this new album. Although the entire album is full of impressive sounds, “Sober” is special in so many ways. Listening to this track will capture you instantly, setting emotions deep inside you through powerful vocals and a sound that’s so much pure pop.
Apparently upbeat and high energy track, listening to “Sober” will tell you another story. The track is actually grim as many of its hooks take listeners there instead of capturing him in the mercurial soundscape the upbeat creates initially.
“And now that it’s over, I’ll never be sober
I couldn’t believe, but now I’m so high”
“Sober” is lush on the surface but impresses me with its grim yet dynamic appeal to general audience who are going to have a smile on their face. The delightful melody is clearly non-coherent with song’s lyrics, which opens another perspective to the argument that the boy and the girl have to patch up their dying relationship.
