Noel Gallagher: “BRITs performers should be ashamed of themselves”

The normally quiet and reserved Noel Gallagher has let rip at his fellow BRIT Awards performers on his Huffington Post blog, accusing many of them of miming during their performances on last weeks show.

The former Oasis man, who you can see definitely not miming at the BRITs above, wrote:

“And if I’m not very much mistaken did I detect the faint whiff of a few wrong ‘uns miming? I think I did… You know who you are and you should be ashamed of yourselves.”

Noel also made a thinly veiled attack at the sanitisation and commercialisation of the BRITs (as if it was any better in the 90’s when Oasis were sweeping the board!):

“It’s all got a bit too slick that thing now though, it’s treated with a bit too much respect, if you ask me… It is but a TV show with a few awards carved up and spread around…”

In other Noel Gallagher news, his High Flying Birds act have been confirmed to play this years T In The Park Festival alongside fellow Mancunian legends The Stone Roses and New Order. Tickets for the festival go on sale this Wednesday (Feb 29) – for more details visit the official site: http://tinthepark.com/
