Pia Mia, who is better known for being Kylie Jenner’s BFF, dropped a new single titled “Touch” yesterday. This new single will be included in Pia Mia’s upcoming debut album, which will be released in 2016.
“Touch” is an indie-EDM track that probably found its roots in diva’s previous hit “Do It Again”. That song did so well that it got over 100 million views for its music video on VEVO and became ‘VEVO Certified’. The success that she got with that video was unexpected and even her label Interscope Records hadn’t foreseen that. However, this can’t be an excuse for the poor quality of her new single “Touch”.
“Touch” is hardly three-minutes long. The track is an absolute disgrace as Pia Mia tries to copy “Where Are U Now” by Jack U and “What Do You Mean” by Justin Bieber. Even if you have listened to these tracks once in life, you’re immediately going to recognize the similarities.
It is impossible to understand why Pia Mia has moved to indie-EDM when she had amazing success with her previous pop-urban track “Do It Again”. She should have gone that route instead of coming up with an EDM track. This is total disaster and there is every reason to believe that she isn’t a leader as far as music is concerned. Listen to the track for yourself and let us know in comments if you have a different opinion about it.
