Beyonce fans have been on red alert since Columbia Records chairman Rob Stringer said earlier this week that “obviously, at some point Beyonce will put a record out, and when she does it will be monumental”.
Now, everyone took that to mean Bey would be putting out the follow-up to 2011’s all-conquering 4 probably at some point early next year – seeing as so far there has been no promotion of a new album. No-one could have imagined a new album would be out by the end of the week, but that’s what has just happened!
Beyonce has just released a brand new self-titled album on iTunes, and released a trailer video on Facebook describing it as a ‘visual album’, with each track coming with an accompanying video.
