New music: Seasfire – Falling

Seasfire – ‘Falling’

Bristol band Seasfire are fast making a name for themselves with their brand of soulful post-dubstep, which has already seen them championed by the likes of XFM’s Mary Anne Hobbs and 6 Music’s John Kennedy.

After one listen to new single ‘Falling’, it’s not hard to see why – the cold and resonant piano clashes with the post-dubstep beats to create a captivating and atmospheric track that reveals more with every listen.

Seasfire cite the likes of Jeff Buckley, Echo and the Bunneymen and Burial as influences, and you can hear all three of them in ‘Falling’ – with the heartfelt and honest Buckley-esque vocals, the Bunneymen devotion to melody and the disjointed production talents of Burial.
