Zedd and Alessia Cara have been secretly working on a collaboration. Today, Zedd announced on his social media that the news about this collaboration is true. He and Alesia Cara, you know her from “Scars to Your Beautiful”, have made a song together.
The German DJ announced this news with a post on Twitter. He also posted a picture of Alesia and himself along with the tweet.
After the news came out, everyone is trying to guess about the final destination of this song. Where would they be able to find it? So far, there is not even a clue. Neither Zedd nor Alesia has said anything about it. However, since Alessia won’t possible include an EDM track in her album, we can safely assume that the song will land in Zedd’s upcoming album. Zedd has already planned an album with Interscope Records for 2017. We don’t know the release date yet but it will eventually come out in 2017. It will be a follow-up to his previous hit album “True Colors”.
But where this new EDM song ends is just one of the concerns. Many bloggers have already started comparing the song to “Break Free”, believing that Alessia will probably sound just like Ariana Grande. Others are claiming that it will be closer to Hailee’s “Starving”. Why not just wait until we hear the song and then decide what it sounds more like – Ariana, Hailee or Alessia herself. Only time could tell.
Personally, I don’t think Alessia would have agreed to do an EDM track. But still, artists have to do things that they don’t want to do these days as the major labels know how to take advantage of album contracts. Still, if Alessia did this with her heart into it, I’m sure it will turn out to be a really good song. I’m sure it will help Alessia propel herself as a versatile artist instead of doing her any harm.
