Kendrick Lamar is on his early November tour. This tour is already becoming a hit as indicated by fan interest during the tour. To make it even more impressive, Kendrick Lamar visited K104 radio station recently. The Dallas-based radio station was probably prepared for Lamar’s visit and the host knew what to ask him. The host asked Lamar to freestyle over Taylor Swift’s hit number “Shake it Off”. Lamar who was a little hesitant in the beginning, agreed to do it for K104. Since Kendrick Lamar had already done a similar freestyle over Swift’s track last week during an interview, he probably knew what fans want.
Kendrick Lamar didn’t had an open choice to freestyle of Taylor Swift’s “Shake it off” but he did have some sort of choice. He was given few topics out of which Kendrick Lamar choose “White girls”. Although Kendrick Lamar isn’t known for rapping over a pop track and he has probably never done it before but he was ready as if he had always been thinking of something similar. The outcome was wonderful. Since it was out of genre and first-time for Lamar, he wasn’t perfect. Nevertheless, he did justice to the chart-topping pop track. You can listen to it below.
