Nicki Minaj Pills N Potion

Single review: Nicki Minaj – ‘Pills and Potions’

From listening to the chorus you’d expect a change of style for Minaj to something smoother and more acceptable, and there’s certainly something more insular and introspective about the titular hook. Outside of that, though, it’s a pretty bland rap sequence that doesn’t add much to the record.

Taking a nice sensitive side and adding a bit more urban styling works, but it’s not all that riveting.
