Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar are known for their creative music productions. Both Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar aren’t really afraid of stepping outside the norm when it comes to producing music as obvious from latest single “Never Catch Me”.
If you listen to “Never Catch Me”, you will know why it is unique in so many ways that it deserves fair airtime on radio. Though it’s a mind blowing track altogether, certain listeners may find its schizophrenic approach too heavy to be digested. Those who enjoy this approach to audio will have their hands on the repeat button for a very long time.
The collaboration between Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar was a regular affair for both as major parts of the song were recorded at Lotus’ house. In fact, Lotus earlier helped Lamar with his album by sending him bunch of stuff and when asked for a return favor, Lamar agreed to be a part of Lotus’ new album.
“Never Catch Me” will be included in Flying Lotus’ new album titled “You’re Dead!”. Lotus originally thought of a full-blown jazz record but it ended up as a mix of jazz, progressive rock and rapping. For jazz music fans, jazz legend Herbie Hancock has also contributed to the album.
