Single Review: “Lose You” by Nick Gardner

Nick Gardner has a new potential hit under his belt and you will know that as soon as you listen to his new single “Lose You”. The track has borrowed synths and drum crush from 1981’s classic pop hit “In The Air Tonight” by Phil Collins.

Gardner has spent the entire 2013 posting covers to popular songs on YouTube. In 2014, he went somewhat underground to work on his album with Universal. We have seen his pictures with popular artists such as Backstreet Boys, Sean Garrett, Ne-Yo, and Adam Lambert. All these artists inspired this British hunk for his first album and now we are listening to the first song out of it which is a surefire hit with its catchy synths and breezy vocals.

Manchester-raised singer’s debut track “Lose You” has a killer chorus and a definite electric atmosphere that helps Gardner’s soulful vocals jump over the backdrop synth. Although “Lose You” is being loved by music bloggers in general, it is nowhere near mash-up of Adele’s “Some Like You” that helped this British singer/songwriter gather 1.6 million views, it is still a nearly perfect debut track to begin his career. Listen to “Lose You” below and let us know your opinion in the comments. We’d love to hear what you have to say about this track that we’re already billing as a chart-topper.
