Jay-Z Performs ‘Numb/Enforce’ On BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge

JAY-Z delivered a powerful yet emotional performance on BBC Radio 1’s “Live Lounge” with Clara Amfo this morning. The rapper dedicated his performance ‘Numb/Enforce’ to Chester Bennington who committed suicide.

Chatting with Clara, the rap icon discussed his career, Black Lives Matter, and mental health. He thinks money and fame do not mean anything if you are not happy.

“I really think that hopefully, his death serves as a wakeup call that mental health is a real thing. You never know that people are going through. You think that because they’re performers and he’s sold millions of records… that doesn’t equate to happiness. Money or fame, that doesn’t mean anything if you’re not happy inside”

Jay-Z also played 4:44 track “Family Feud” during the live lounge performance taken from his recent album ‘4:44’.

Jay-Z To Donate The Brooklyn Concert Money

In other news, JAY-Z’s TIDAL service has announced its third annual Brooklyn concert. The money will be donated to natural disaster relief and recovery organizations like Global Giving, Kids in Need Foundation, All Hands Volunteers, Direct Relief, Greater Houston Community Foundation, Miami Community Foundation, and etc.

JAY-Z is expected to give a North American tour to support his album 4:44 with tour opener Vic Mensa. However, he confirmed that he will not be headlining the Super Bowl next year.
