Gorillaz new album could be out ‘before Christmas’

gorillaz album Damon Albarn has told NME that a new Gorillaz album could be released ‘before Christmas’.

As previously reported, Albarn said he had been recording the new album during the current Gorillaz tour – which sees them play Manchester’s MEN Arena tonight (Nov 12).

The former Blur front-man also revealed he has recorded the new album on his iPad, which he says has resulted in a ‘completely different kind of album’.  So we can probably expect that to mean the follow-up to Plastic Beach is likely to be a lo-fi, experimental effort – perhaps with Doncamatic thrown in for good measure!
