Sources ‘close’ to Britpop group Blur have suggested the band could be reuniting to record a new album in January 2011.
The band reunited in 2009, playing two huge shows at London’s Hyde Park as well as closing that years Glastonbury festival. Now, it seems they are ready to head in the studio to produce the first Blur material featuring the original members since Graham Coxon acrimoniously left the band during recording sessions for their final album, Think Tank. The ‘source’ told The Sun:
“The lads will be getting in the studio next year. There’s no concrete plans regarding what they will do with the material, but if they’re all agreed it could become the first full Blur album to feature all four members in over a decade.”
Don’t you just love how these ‘sources’ are always so succint!
