Adele confirmed for new Bond theme tune

It’s official – Adele will be singing the theme tune for ‘Skyfall’, the new James Bond film out next month.

The singer sparked rumours last month when she was spotted at Abbey Roads Studio, where the films official soundtrack is being recorded, and has now been confirmed by Total Film as not only the theme tune singer but also the songs writer.

The song, also called ‘Skyfall’ in case you were wondering, has already been recorded (so expect a leak in the coming days or weeks!) and puts Adele in illustrious Bond-theme-tune-singing company, joining the likes of Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, Duran Duran, Madonna and of course Jack White and Alicia Keys, who performed the tune for Bond’s last outing ‘Quantum Of Solace’.

‘Skyfall’ will be the 23rd James Bond film and the third starring Daniel Craig as the eponymous hero. It also stars Javier Bardem as the baddie and was directed by Sam Mendes. It’s out in the UK on 26 October.
