It may only be mid-July, but 2014 has already been a stellar year for Bombay Bicycle Club. Their fourth album So Long, See You Tomorrow hit number one in the album chart on its release in February, and they’re currently in the midst of a very busy summer festival schedule. Now the North London band […]
It wasn’t too long ago that North London group Bombay Bicycle Club were being dismissed along with just about every other white English guitar band as ‘indie landfill’. If January felt a bit slow in terms of big new albums, then February is when 2014 really gets going. There’s big albums out just about every week in February, starting off with the return of Bombay Bicycle Club and Broken Bells on 3 February. The following week sees dubstep-diva Katy B take centre-stage with her highly-anticipated new album Little Red, before Beck and Wild Beasts round off the month with three very different, but all equally promising-sounding, albums.
All of the albums to look out for in February are listed below – let us know what you’re most looking forward to in the comments at the bottom. Read more about Albums out in February 2014 …
Although January tends to be a bit of a depressing month – Christmas is gone, no-one has any money, the weather is dreary etc. etc… – it does have one thing going for it: new music.

I’ve put together the below playlist featuring the best of what’s come out in January, which includes new stuff from BANKS (who is definitely going to be big in 2014), Bombay Bicycle Club (already pretty big I think!), Yuck, Metronomy, James Blake, Blood Red Shoes, Elephant, Blood Cultures and loads more. There’s also a couple of tasty remixes in there as well. Read more about Listen: January 2014 playlist – all the best new music from January in one handy playlist …

With their new album So Long, See You Tomorrow out on 3 February, Bombay Bicycle Club are wasting no time in getting their new material ‘out there’. Hot on the heels of impressive lead single ‘Carry Me’ comes the jaunty and very Avalanches-esque ‘It’s Alright Now’, which was just debuted on Huw Stephens’ Radio 1 […]
Bombay Bicycle Club revealed a brand new track last month called ‘Carry Me‘, which is taken from their forthcoming fourth album.
