Single Review: “Im Not Gonna Miss You” by Glen Campbel

Tim McGraw performed “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” to replace original artist Glen Campbell at the Oscars. The reason Glen couldn’t make it to Oscars to perform on his track was his declining health. Tim’s performance was really good, ensuring that even if Glenn was watching it, he would have been really happy about it. Majority of people looking for Glen’s version of “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” are actually coming from listening the Tim’s performance at the Oscars and now finding out that Glen’s version is even better.

Glen Campbell is a country music legend. He has spent more than 50 years singing country tracks now with over 70 albums released during this period. This is obviously a lot and there is every chance that you may have heard something from Glenn is you have been into country music at any stage during your life. He has even been next to John Wayne. The highlight for Glen Campbell this year is his Grammy winning track “I’m Not Gonna Miss You”.

“I’m Not Gonna Miss You” is a heartbreaking farewell to someone Glen holds close. The track is really really sad and translates all the pain through music – simply one of the best farewell anthems you could ever listen.
